Multimedia superstar Reba racked up her 35th #1 career single this week with the highly-charged kiss-off anthem, “Turn on the Radio,” claiming the top spot on both the Billboard Country Singles Chart and the USA Today/ Country Aircheck (powered by Mediabase) chart.
The timing of Reba’s latest chart-topper couldn’t be more poignant – with the crowning of “Turn on the Radio,” Reba became the one Country artist to dominate the Country Singles charts by both opening 2010 with a #1 hit (the four-week #1, “Consider Me Gone,” which subsequently became Reba’s biggest hit of her 30+ year career) AND also ending 2010 with a #1 hit. – the lead single from her new, critically-acclaimed album, ALL THE WOMEN I AM.
Both #1 singles are on Reba’s new label home, The Valory Music Co.
Additionally, the fiery redhead shows no signs of slowing down any time soon, with 2010 becoming one of the superstar’s biggest years this decade. More than 30 years after her professional recording career began, Reba remains one of Billboard’s Top 5 Female Country Artists of 2010 as well as a Top 5 Overall Female Artist on Country Aircheck’s (powered by Mediabase) year-end list.
Reba also ranks one of Billboard’s Top 15 Country Artists and Country Albums Artists of 2010. Reba also made the list of Billboard’s overall Top Pop Artists and Hot 100 Artists of 2010.
Reba ended 2010 with a Top 25 Billboard Country Album (KEEP ON LOVING YOU) and also received accolades as both a 2010 Billboard Top 200 Albums Artist and Top Current Albums Artist. In addition, Reba landed 3 songs on both Billboard’s 2010 Hot Country Songs Chart and on Country Aircheck’s Top 100 Songs of 2010.
Reba teams up with George Strait in 2011 as they continue one of the most successful Country music tours of the year (Billboard’s Boxscore: Top 25 Tours of 2010). Reba and George will kick off the new year on January 14th at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX. Lee Ann Womack will also perform.
